Horchata
While I was in Nevada last week we visited El Pollo Loco (Best. Food chain. Ever. After In 'N Out). They had this Horchata drink machine there (See Vampire Weekend song) and we stole some with our water cups. I don't know if it's because it was illegally taken or if it was just that yummy, but it tasted DELICIOUS.
Anyways. Point is i made some today:Muy excellente.

What I don't understand is why people destress by chalking in the periodic table...

I found Harriet M. Welsch's garden
The Magic Gardens in Philadelphia was a project started by Isaiah Zagar in 1994. After traveling to Peru with the peace corp he felt a canvas was too confining, and sought to create a mosaic labyrinth to pay tribute to Peruvian folk art. This is what he created.
"In 2002, the Boston-based owner of the once-vacant lot located at 1022-1026 South Street decided to sell the land in response to rising South Street property values. Unwilling to witness the destruction of Zagar's neighborhood art environment, the community rushed to support the artist. His creation, newly titled Philadelphia's Magic Gardens, became incorporated as a nonprofit organization with the intention of preserving and promoting Zagar's works at the site of the Magic Gardens and throughout the South Street region."

Future Food
Eatable paper menus? Popcorn flavored packaging foam?
Together, renowned chefs and "molecular gastronomists" Homaro Cantu and Ben Roche are changing the way we think of food while tackling the pressing environmental issues. What's a better way to recycle paper than to eat it? Waste not want not.
Eatable menus at their restaurant Moto, each day a different flavor
Packaging peanuts, popcorn flavored
S'more bombs with dehydrated marshmallow fuses

This Is Why You're Fat
Why have chocolate chip cookies when you can have POTATO chip cookies?!?
I thought these were strange too when I first heard of them, but they're the perfect marriage of sweet and salty and crispy and deliciousness? And how can you go wrong when you mix the two best junk foods together?
So you can have a diabetic coma and clog your arteries at the same time.
But trust me they're so worth it.
I got the recipe from Emeril, check it out.
Also while you're at it, why not:
Yum!
